Interesting Topic to Discuss in Class
Interesting Topic to Discuss in ClassInteresting topic to discuss in class is one of the skills you will need to develop as a teacher. If you are not prepared, you could easily leave students disappointed. One of the things I find interesting about teaching is that it allows me to talk about interesting topics. When you are talking about something that is new and strange, students are more willing to learn. They appreciate it. Often they'll ask questions about what you just talked about and ask for more information. The reason you want to include an interesting topic in your class is that students are going to want to know more about it. You want them to be interested in what you have to say. This is one of the major reasons why you should encourage students to participate in your class. However, when you do write a topic that is interesting, be sure to include your own opinions and knowledge as well. Don't pretend to be an expert on something that is difficult to understand. Students w ill recognize this will likely make them feel that you're somewhat embarrassed. They want to know what the experts think. The other reason you want to talk about an interesting topic in class is that it helps the class improve. If you just talk about something that is boring, you might not get a lot of useful information out of it. By including an interesting topic, you are including your own personal opinion on the subject.Keep in mind that there is an element of danger to having an interesting topic in class. If the students feel that you have a stake in something that is related to the topic, they may consider you an authority on the topic. When this happens, they will tend to follow what you have to say and theywill assume that everything you say is valuable.A good teacher is able to walk into a classroom and make them come with their eyes. To be able to do this, you will need to learn how to properly write a topic, include your own opinion and then talk about your personal exper iences.
